The ars poetica of Balint Tunyogi can be described as a hopeful look into the future. What you see on the canvas shows the beauty of today documenting it for the future. His paintings, drawings and tint-drawings show nature and human relations, in brief: the world around us. You can experience the diversity of Balint’s art at local and international exhibitions (Poland, USA, India) and you can also visit his virtual art gallery on his own website.
Balint has been admiring art since his childhood, with special interest in oil paintings. Once he said when looking at a painting: ’I could paint something like this!’…and not long after this, he bought his first canvas, paintbrush and oil colours in an art store.
As an autodidact artist, he tried and is still using different techniques including linocut, litography, tint-painting and charcoal drawings. He is brave in choosing, changing and trying out various equipment and materials. Initially he was focused on landscape paintings and in the last few years the subject of his paintings turned to the human, especially women’s body.
Balint has been getting lots of positive feedback recently, encouraging him to continue focusing on his artwork. He currently does not have a sponsor or a patron, however he was not really looking for one, knowing that he can only count on himself. He is now determined to continue the same way he started off on and is creating his paintings in the belief that he is serving the future generation and hoping that friends of art will really like his work of art.
